Thanks to all of your for your comments and encouragement re: my last entry. And especially, thanks to each of you who prayed for me.

I’m doing a bit better. I went to sleep one night this week asking God to be the light in my darkness. God used to awakened me to songs. I’ve really missed this personal attention from Him lately, so what happened the next morning was very special. He woke me to song I used to sing with a friend of mine in college (we sang in churches around our area to help promote the campus ministry that we were a part of of.) Anyway, here’s the message I was given. You’ll probably recognize the old song, popular in the 80s.

“When you’re up against a struggle that shatters all your dreams. And your hopes have been cruelly crushed by satan’s manifested schemes. And you feel the urge within you to submit to earthly fear. Don’t let the faith you’re standin’ in seem to disappear. Praise the Lord. He can work through those who praise Him. Praise the Lord. For our God inhabits praise. Praise the Lord, for the chains that seem to bind you fall powerless behind you when you praise Him.”

I’m trying . . .

To praise.
